On Looking Forward to Christmas
Every year, fall comes around and envelopes the entire world1 in so many beautiful colors. A true sight for sore eyes. And then once all the leaves have fallen, we are left in a cold barren world that reminds us that nothing but cold, dark, and probably wet winter months are on the horizon.
But within all this, we have the chance to look forward to the Christmas time. Now, I, myself, am not the biggest believer in the Christian mythology, but seeing all the town squares slowly filling up with small shops, -- each radiating some warmth into the environment around them -- and then having the chance to drink Glühwein and other fun teas. See all the different possible Christmas presents. The glowing smiles on children waiting for the big day. It brings a bit of warmth and joy back into my heart on these dark and cold days.
Technically not the whole world, because there are a lot of places that do not experience tree leaves turning fall colors, but bear with me.↩
